RECEIVING

THE SHAKTIPAT INITIATION

If you are ready, it is possible to receive Shaktipat Initiation:

Shaktipat is the process of awakening the sleeping Kundalini power by the grace of Guru so that the spiritual elevation of the disciple can happen without any direct intervene of disciple’s mind and intellect. It’s an effortless path which means the disciple has to do nothing but just follow the process as a witness and the spiritual evolution will happen automatically.

When you receive Shaktipat you need to be willing to follow the guidance of Swami Ishan Tirth, which could mean for you for example:

To do regulary meditation
To change diet
To start doing specific yogic techniques
To join regular meditation retreats to check the progress

The Grace of Shaktipat

An introduction

There is a verse in the Shvetasvatara Upanishad that describes this very clearly: ‘The Rishis, the sages, went into deep meditation
and found the Devatma Shakti, the Kundalini Power inherent in Divine Consciousness, hidden behind Her attributes.’
The power of Pure Consciousness, which this Upanishad gives the name of Devatma Shakti, is not different from Brahman, the
Infinite Existence, like warmth cannot be separated from fire. Wherever there is warmth, the fire element must also be present. In the same way, wherever consciousness is present, the power of consciousness must also be present.

Since Pure Consciousness is blissful in nature, whenever it is expressing
itself somewhere, bliss cannot be far away.

Shakti’ is Divine Power and ‘pat’ means to descend.
Shaktipat is a method by which an individual’s Kundalini is awakened by the direct intervention of a Guru who serves as an instrument of
his lineage of masters. This awakening of Kundalini may happen immediately or gradually when the energy system and mind of
the aspirant has been sufficiently prepared and purified. In all our countless lives, Shaktipat has only to happen once: it sets the
aspirant irrevocably on the path that culminates in total immersion in the Divine Reality.
There exists a variety of mechanisms for conveying shaktipat. These include: by glance, by word or mantra, by touch or simply by intention, sankalpa. An enlightened teacher with the capacity of granting shaktipat and guiding the development of the student is called a ‘Siddha’.

With the grace of a Siddha-master, the evolutionary power in ourselves, the Devatma Shakti or Kundalini, which is hidden by the accumulated dirt of ages, wakes up. Only from the moment that we have received grace from such a Master, can we truly start the process of freeing ourselves from all the impurities that impose limitations upon us. Awakening the power that lies dormant in the innermost core of our being is called shaktipat.

Through shaktipat, a disciple receives the highest grace of the Master.
Shaktipat bestows blessings that thin out our conditionings and attachments.
Shaktipat ignites the fire
that initiates transformation.

A process is set into motion that gradually makes our entire system transparent so that the Light of our True Nature is able to shine through without obstructions. Limited self-images dissolve. Egoic contractions melt away. May Devatma Shakti lead you to a true
Master who is able to awaken the Divine Energy within you and
who can guide you along this path.
